Three Britons arrested for car theft in Alicante

Three Britons arrested for car theft in Alicante: "Three British men have been arrested in El Albir, Alicante province, in possession of a car which had been reported as stolen in the UK.

The vehicle, an Audi A-4 Cabriolet, was carrying false plates and, according to the Interpol database, was stolen in Kent in 2006. The group was tracked down by the Alicante division of the National Police stolen vehicle unit, who released the news on Thursday.

None of the group has been named in reports.

EFE notes that a fourth suspect, a Spaniard, was arrested for a similar crime at the port in Alicante. The vehicle he was driving was fitted with an electronic engine control unit from a car of the same model which had been stolen in Germany."
