Costa war results in one death and five injured on the streets of Folkestone

Costa war results in one death and five injured on the streets of Folkestone: "A man was stabbed to death and five others were left injured with knife wounds after a mass fight on streets of Folkestone.

The killing is believed the culmination of a series of long running feuds between local gangs of Eastern origin according to Kent Police.

The five injured all received knife wounds from the attack which erupted outside a house party in Marine Terrace last night (Monday).

One remains critically injured but is believed – but not yet confirmed – all those involved came from Afghanistan. The injured men are all being treated at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

It happened in Marine Terrace at 8.30pm, an area of the town near the harbour behind the Grand Burstin Hotel which is used to house immigrants often asylum seekers who have made their own way to the country.

One man is being questioned by police and officers working on the case say they expect more to be arrested in connection with the incident.

Marine Terrace remained closed off on Tuesday morning as police investigators carried out a detailed search."
