Murdered British children buried in Lloret de Mar

Murdered British children buried in Lloret de Mar: "bodies of the two young British children, Rebecca and Daniel, allegedly murdered by their own mother in a hotel in Lloret de Mar on May 18th, have been buried this afternoon in the Spanish town where they died.
The town council has had to foot the bill for the burial, since no-one in their family came forward to claim their bodies.
Town officials said it was important 'to give these two young children a dignified funeral, with all the intimacy, respect and sadness due when children of such a young age lose their lives'.
Both their mother, Lianne S. and their father Martin S. are in prison. Lianne is being held in Girona, charged with the double murder, and Martin in being held in the UK, after being extradited in May on charges of paedophilia.
Apparently, some friends of the couple, who had known them when they were living together in Barcelona, initially offered to pay for the burial, but later backed out, citing financial difficulties."
