Two British Children have been found dead at a hotel in Lloret de Mar, Girona, and their mother has been arrested
Baby Boy, understood to be aged just under one year old, and a five year-old girl were found by staff at the Miramar Hotel in Lloret de Mar on the Costa Brava.
Police said that the mother, who raised the alarm moments beforehand, had confessed.
Initial reports said that the two children may have been smothered but sources close to the investigation reported that the bodies bore no sign of external injuries. There was no evidence of a struggle.
The woman, who has not been named but is said to be in her 30s, booked into the four-star beachfront hotel on Monday. They had arrived their by car on Monday night. Local police received the alert at 3.53pm on Tuesday afternoon.
The duty judge from Blanes has taken charge of the case and placed reporting restrictions on the case. It’s understood that the judge from Court Three has this evening reconstructed what happened in the hotel room with the mother and the police.
