Julián Muñoz says Jesús Gil was the best Mayor Marbella ever had

Ex Mayor of Marbella, Julián Muñoz, speaking in the ongoing Malaya case in Málaga today has claimed that the late Jesús Gil y Gil was Marbella’s best ever Mayor, even though he said ‘he wanted to be child in the baptism and the priest at the same time’. The prosecutor’ office is calling a ten year prison sentence, 23 months out of public office and a 400,000 € fine for Muñoz on charges of administrative perversion, bribery and misuse of public funds. Muñoz denied negotiating even one of the real estate deals, ‘I’ve not sat down with a single promoter’, he said, and with reference to the initials JM on the archives intervened in the case he said that Roca ‘at no time has said in this court that JM was Julián Muñoz’.
